Fun Karate with Silver Lake Elementary Students
We had such an amazingly fun time with students from the Silver Lake Elementary in Grapevine this past week. We were warmly welcomed by Pre-K, Kinder, 1st and 2nd Graders throughout the day. We counted approximately 230 kids.
It was a Career Day at the school, and we were invited by Mr. Francisco Cepeda, the school’s counselor, to introduce our martial arts program to their students. As professional martial artists, who help cure the “Stinkin’ Thinkin” disease in children, we gladly accepted.
The “Stinkin’ Thinkin” disease is a very contagious one. Mr. Cepeda told us that many students and even some of the faculty staff have some mild form of it. This was good to know and we prepared ourselves well. The disease’s symptoms are easily recognized as those affected often say things like:
I can’t do it!
It’s too hard!
I don’t want to!
I’m tired!
I’m bored!
Since we are experts at curing this disease it was quite easy to administer the right dosage of our secret medicine, and in less than few hours every sick child or staff member was cured.
Everyone had a blast doing cool karate moves, and some even broke real wooden boards. They were laughing out loud, having a great time and yelling out “Yes, I CAN!”
We cannot wait to visit Silver Lake Elementary again.
